For property owners
Know what to ask.
Plan what comes next.
Useful checklists for quote requests, rental turnovers, and septic service records. Start with the details that help define the work.

Before requesting excavation
Bring the site into view.
- Address or parcel number, a survey, and any plans
- Clearing limits and areas you want protected
- Equipment access, gates, slopes, and overhead restrictions
- Approximate dimensions and known soil or rock concerns
- The intended finish and how spoil or debris should be handled
Photograph the route onto the property as well as the work area. Tell us what happens next—construction, landscaping, utilities, or another contractor’s work—so the scope can be sequenced.

Before a short-term rental turnover
A checklist makes
the handoff clearer.
- Departure and arrival times, including access windows
- Bedroom, bathroom, and bed count
- Laundry and linen expectations
- Cleaning checklist, pet stays, and outdoor amenities
- Who supplies guest consumables and handles restocking
- How to report property conditions needing attention
A same-day turnover is a scheduling request, not an automatic guarantee. Share the complete scope and available window before booking.
Before a septic visit
Keep the system
records together.
- Operation permit and approved system design
- Equipment and maintenance manuals
- Inspection, pumping, and service reports
- Alarm or repair history
- The reason for the visit and any transaction deadline
EPA recommends professional inspection at least every three years for typical household systems and pumping generally every three to five years. Actual pumping needs depend on use and tank conditions. Alternative systems need more frequent review.
